Description
Orange runs the length of the blade and the grip, with black laid over it in panels: a stencilled block near the point, a long inset along the fuller, and a dark band across the sawback teeth. A round orange rivet sits on the black guard plate, and the hands wear padded black gloves closed by a wrist strap. The M9 Bayonet is a combat knife the US Army adopted in 1986; together with its scabbard it works as a wire cutter.
The view model holds 2,790 polygons against the stock knife’s 1,040, on 40 bones and fourteen textures. Two tall strips, 200×989 and 204×1001, carry the two faces of the blade, and a 68×800 map wraps the grip; the hands run on 512×256, 512×512 and 256×256 sheets, none of them a size the stock game uses. A 64×64 chrome map adds the mirrored sheen GoldSrc fakes on metal. The idle runs 360 frames, the draw 30 and each attack 36. The third-person model was rebuilt to 1,512 polygons where the stock one has 112, and nine knife sounds are in the archive. There is no dropped-knife model, so on the ground it stays standard.
