Description
A portrait of Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist sits inside a thick black ring sprayed like a paint blot, with four short drips hanging from its lower edge. He is drawn in the anime style of the series: blond hair tied into a braid, a red coat over a black jacket, and golden shapes glowing behind his shoulder. The ring itself is opaque black, but the corners of the frame are clear, so the wall gets a black disc with the portrait inside.
Format wad3, 80×80 pixels. A pixel of the spray equals one unit on the wall, and a CS 1.6 player is 72 units tall, so the disc is a little taller than a player. The palette holds 244 of its 256 entries, close to the ceiling, which is what a full-colour portrait costs. About 39.7% of the frame is transparent, the corners around the circle. The file weighs 9,356 bytes and stays under the 16 KB tempdecal limit at which a server accepts the image as a player logo. Two internet shortcut files were packed in the same archive.
How to install the spray
- Download the file and rename it to tempdecal.wad (keep the extension).
- Copy it into the cstrike folder of your game (…/Half-Life/cstrike), replacing the existing file.
- Set the file to read-only — otherwise the game overwrites it when you touch the logo settings.
- In game, press T (the spray key) to paint it on any wall.
The options menu shows the logo in one color — in the game itself the spray keeps all its colors.
