The tactical shield rebuilt as a scutum, the curved rectangular shield the Roman legions carried. The face is red with gilded wings and thunderbolts around the central boss, the back left plain, both on 512×256 textures.

A full replacement rather than a repaint: view, player and world models for all nine shielded weapons, and the knife becomes a Roman sword at 448 polygons against the stock 190. There is no glass panel in the middle, so raising the shield covers the view completely.
