Description
The first-person shot comes out from inside the model: blue lit panels close around the camera, a wireframe grid readout floats ahead of it, and two grey mechanical arms with short barrel clusters reach in from the sides. The view model has thirteen bones and no hand textures at all, so nothing holds the weapon on screen and the frame gives no view of the outside of it.
View model at 14440 polygons against 1362 on the stock first-person M249, on sixteen textures, most of them 512×512. Player and world models come in at nearly the same weight, 14452 and 14418 polygons, on the same sheets dropped to 256×256. Animation is short: idle, two firing takes, a 31-frame reload and a draw. Four sounds, two firing takes plus a belt and a bolt take.
