Description
An ancient stone complex, mostly underground. Corridors and arched passages are cut from block masonry covered in carved runes, and the light there is a cold greenish blue that comes through narrow slots in the ceiling. The frames move through several parts of it: a row of three arched doorways in a brick wall, a hall of low block partitions like an unroofed maze, a chamber full of waist-high stone cubes with water pouring down from a gap above, a rough natural cavern where a wide stream runs between rock pillars, and one open courtyard where the sky is visible through a lattice roof and a carved basin stands against a wall.
The map is 4672 × 4576 × 992 units, a footprint close to de_dust2 at 4864 × 5600 × 960, but drawn with far fewer materials: 5,024 faces and only 32 textures, all embedded in the .bsp, against 44 on de_dust2. Counter-terrorists get 30 spawns and terrorists 2, so 32 players fit, and both sides have buy zones. No bomb sites and no hostages are placed. Eight doors, four ladders, two teleports and five breakable objects give the map its moving parts, four water volumes fill the flooded sections, and ten ambient sound sources are spread through the rooms. The archive ships its own .wad next to the map.
