Description
The inside of a wooden hall built in Japanese style. Floors and ceiling are planking, thick timber posts carry the beams, and the upper walls are white paper screens above dark wainscoting. Framed woodblock prints hang between the panels, candle brackets burn on the posts, and a set of red lattice doors closes off one end. The middle of the hall is a single open square of floor; one shot from the corner shows it whole, another stands in the raised gallery corridor that runs behind the posts around it. There is no sky and no outdoor view: the map is entirely interior.
The hall measures 1536 × 1536 × 640 units, a square room and nothing else. With 26 counter-terrorist and 27 terrorist spawns, 53 players fit inside it. There are no bomb sites, hostages or rescue zones, and the map marks no buy zones, so the engine places them at the spawns. Geometry is very light: 882 faces and 19 textures, none of them packed into the .bsp, which is why the archive ships cs_paranoia.wad alongside the map. For comparison, de_dust2 is built from 5,383 faces. The entity list is short too: eight sprites for the candle flames, one non-solid decorative piece, and one equipment entity that hands out gear on spawn.
