Description

A desert town of pale sandstone standing in a valley closed off by tall eroded cliffs, under a hazy pink and white sky. The tallest structure is a block four storeys high, faced with narrow arched windows and rows of wooden beams left sticking out of the walls; lower buildings around it have crenellated parapets and flat roofs used as terraces. One frame looks over those roofs towards a shop sign lit against the stone. Another drops into a walled courtyard between the towers, where wooden crates are stacked against the wall, a plank fence runs along one edge and a small shed with a blue metal roof stands in the corner.

The map measures 3200 × 3200 × 1739 units and is built from 5,461 faces and 65 textures, so it is in the same weight class as de_dust2 at 5,383 faces, with far more texture variety. There are 9 spawns for the CTs and 8 for the Ts, room for 17 players. No bomb sites, hostages or rescue zones, and the map defines no buy zones, so the engine places them at the spawns. Twelve ladders connect the levels, and the map has water in two brushes. The sky is the 2desert set. The archive ships its own wad alongside the .bsp.
