Description
Two mirrored open courts under a bright sky crossed by beams, walled in with pale banded concrete. Each court has a rectangular sunken basin in the middle, striped along its rim; one basin is blue, the other red, and that is the only thing telling the halves apart. Narrow concrete gangways run along the walls at first-floor height, reached by yellow ladders set at short intervals, and gaps in the wall lead through to the other court. There is no roof over either yard, only the sky and the beams crossing it.
The level measures 1728 × 1744 × 784 map units and is built from 2,182 faces and 22 textures, all of them embedded in the .bsp, which is why the archive is just the map file; de_dust2 uses 5,383 faces by the same count. Fourteen spawns per side take 28 players. There are no bomb sites, hostages or rescue zones, and no buy zones, so the engine places them at the spawns. Sixteen ladders is a lot for a map this size and shows how much of the movement is vertical, with four doors and four illusionary brushes making up the rest, plus one equipment entity handing out the starting gear.
