Description

A tight industrial interior stacked vertically. The lower rooms are painted in cold blue-green light: breeze-block walls, a concrete floor scored into panels, green shipping crates, glass-fronted cabinets, a lit exit sign, a steel ladder up to a catwalk that runs along the wall with hazard stripes on its edge. Higher up the same building turns amber, lit by ceiling panels over ventilation ducts, pipes and railed walkways, with racks and crates on the floor below. The two halves are the same shapes under different lighting, which is where the remix in the name shows.

The footprint is very small: 580 × 512 × 680 map units, so the map is taller than it is wide and everything happens in a stack of rooms. Even so it carries 2,435 faces and 94 textures, more texture variety than de_dust2's 44 in a fraction of the space; none of the textures are embedded, so the map relies on .wad files from the game. Twelve spawns per side take 24 players. There are no bomb sites, hostages or rescue zones, and no buy zones, so the engine places them at the spawns. Twenty-one ambient sound entities fill the rooms with machine noise, and two breakable objects and two ladders are the only things that move. The archive is the .bsp alone.
