Description

A knot of low houses in cream stucco, pressed together into narrow lanes floored with sand. Wooden shutters frame the windows, laundry lines hang between the walls, crates stand in the open corners, and plank fences with wall ladders close the gaps between buildings. Palms grow over the roofs and dry grass edges the sand. One shot looks down a lane so tight that two blank walls fill the frame; another is taken from inside a window opening, out over the roofs; the rest cross open courtyards where the rifles lie in neat rows on the ground. Daylight, blue sky with thin cloud. The level is built on the texture set of the custom map de_tuscan, whose .wad the archive ships.

The map measures 4032 × 3520 × 832 units. 14 counter-terrorist and 14 terrorist spawns seat 28 players, and the map marks buy zones for both teams itself. No bomb sites, no hostages. The floor is the armoury: eight XM1014s, four each of the Scout, AUG, M4A1, TMP, M3, SG 552, AK-47, P90 and MAC-10, and four HE grenades, 48 pickups in all. Geometry comes to 3,852 faces and 28 textures, none of them packed into the .bsp; de_dust2 has 5,383 faces and 44 textures. A dust sky box stands over the courtyards and there is no water. The detailing runs on 32 sprite entities and 17 non-solid pieces, with four ladder brushes to climb. Besides the map the archive installs five models, a sprite folder, the de_tuscan.wad texture pack and two more files in the maps folder.
