Description
A rectangular snow pit walled in on all four sides, with six ice blocks set inside it as the only cover. The blocks are waist to head high, arranged in two rows with a corridor down the middle, and their flat tops are reachable, so the fight runs both between them and over them. Small dark brick platforms sit in the corners at the base of the walls. Beyond the walls there is nothing but a snowy mountain skybox, and one of the shots looks out over a stretch of dark blue water instead. Guns lie in rows on the snow along both ends of the pit. Daylight, flat and cold, no shadows to speak of. This is the classic iceworld arena, one of the oldest and most copied layouts in the game.
The map measures 1408 × 1664 × 448 units, which is the smallest kind of plan the engine gets. 12 counter-terrorist and 12 terrorist spawns seat 24 players inside it. No bomb sites, no hostages, and the map marks buy zones for both teams. The floor weapons are the whole point: pairs of TMP, AK-47, SG 552, AUG, M4A1, P90, M3, XM1014, M249, AWP and MAC-10, laid out symmetrically so both sides reach the same guns. The geometry is stripped to nothing: 316 faces on 6 textures, one of them packed into the .bsp, where de_dust2 needs 5,383 faces and 44 textures. No water, no doors, no ladders, no breakables. The archive holds the .bsp with its map files.
