Description
Night in a walled desert settlement. The buildings are low blocks of sand-coloured brick with flat concrete roofs, and wooden crates stand both on those roofs and in the lanes between them. Palm trees rise over the outer wall, wrought-iron lanterns on brackets throw yellow light down the brickwork, and the ground underfoot is loose sand. Two shots look down on the roofs and show how the place is put together: a ring of buildings around a central lane, the roofs forming a second level. A third looks along that lane towards an arched gate at the far end. Rifles and grenades lie in rows on the sand beside the walls, so a round opens with a pickup rather than a buy.
The map measures 1536 × 2144 × 704 units, compact by the engine standards and far smaller in footprint than de_dust2 (4864 × 5600 × 960). Sixteen spawns on each side seat 32 players in that space. There are no bomb sites and no hostages, and the map marks buy zones for both teams itself. What matters is the floor: 16 AK-47, 16 M4A1, 4 AWP and 4 HE grenades lie ready, one rifle for every spawn. Geometry comes to 2,830 faces and 20 textures, 18 of them packed into the .bsp, against 5,383 faces in de_dust2 by the same count. The sky is the hav set. Eight ladder brushes carry the climbs, and 28 non-solid pieces and two animated props do the dressing. Along with the map the archive installs models of its own and extra files in the map folder.
