Description
An escape map: terrorists break out of a compound and run for the extraction points while Counter-Terrorists cut them off. The setting is an industrial complex under a dusk sky, with a rocket groan rumbling somewhere overhead. Ten spawns per side, no bomb sites, no hostages — the round is the chase itself.
One of Barney's official maps from the era when retail Counter-Strike still shipped escape scenarios; the es_ mode was later dropped from the game, which makes Frantic a museum piece of a whole abandoned game mode. The footprint is the widest of his maps at 7520 × 6544 × 1504 units, with 11107 faces and 111 textures against de_dust2's 5383 and 44. The archive installs the .bsp with es_frantic.wad, the dusk skybox, the ambience track and a .res file.
