Description
A southern village seized by rebels who plan to bomb two sections of an oil pipeline running through it. Stone-and-plaster houses with tiled roofs and wooden balconies line narrow lanes and courtyards, green hills close the horizon, and both bomb sites sit where the pipeline crosses the built-up area. Most rounds come down to the tight chokepoints between the yards.
Barney's map from Counter-Strike 1.1: built in two weeks in Worldcraft 3.3 and compiled with Zoner's 3.3.3 tools, then updated to "build 22" in CS 1.3. By his own account there was no single inspiration, the layout came together from experiments. It is the densest of his official maps: 9347 faces and 97 textures against de_dust2's 5383 and 44, inside 5080 × 4416 × 1456 units. Sixteen spawns per side and two bomb sites; 78 illusionary brushes carry the detailing. The archive installs the .bsp, the radar overview and a .nav file for the bots.
