Description

A sandstone settlement built from the desert texture set: pale block walls with carved friezes along the parapets, arched doorways and windows, cobbled paving worn into loose sand, and mountains beyond the walls. One shot takes a courtyard where a heavy wooden scaffold on square posts stands over green ammunition boxes and a bomb target painted on the deck; wooden crates sit against the far wall and a staircase climbs to an upper walkway. Another turns a corner past a faceted stone bastion into an open sandy street. A third is under the scaffold, in shade, looking through the posts to a lit passage. The last opens onto a walled yard with a covered gallery of barred openings on the far side, snow-capped peaks visible above the wall. The frames are shot in plain daylight under a blue sky.

The map measures 4704 × 5696 × 608 units, a plan close to de_dust (5584 × 6144 × 832) but noticeably flatter. Eighteen counter-terrorist and eighteen terrorist spawns seat 36 players. There are four bomb sites, twice the usual pair, no hostages or rescue zones, and buy zones are set to auto, so the engine places them at the spawns. Geometry runs to 7,708 faces and 42 textures, none embedded, so the archive ships its own de_avangard2.wad; de_dust comes to 5,550 faces and 30 textures. The sky is a desert backdrop and there is no water. The map is almost bare of interactive entities: 53 in total, of which the only notable ones are six non-solid decorative pieces. The archive holds the .bsp, the wad and one further file next to the map.
