Description
A sand yard fenced in with corrugated panels and mesh, built around a tall steel derrick that stands over the middle of the map; a second, smaller tower rises at the far corner. Around them sit fuel tanks on frames, a shipping container, low sheds with metal roofs and a raised platform with a yellow excavator on it, and a helipad marked with a white H is sunk into the sand at one side. The frames are taken from above, and the horizon is a haze of hills under an orange sunset. The layout repeats Rust from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
The map measures 4524 × 4228 × 2280 units, most of that height going to the derrick and the walkways on it. Eleven counter-terrorist and eleven terrorist spawns seat 22 players. There are no hostages, no rescue zones and no bomb sites, and buy zones are set to auto, which means the map marks none and the engine puts them at the spawns. Geometry runs to 8,502 faces on just 26 textures, all of them packed into the .bsp, so it is heavier than de_dust2 (5,383 faces) while reusing a very small texture set. The map holds 38 entities, three of them ambient emitters, no water and no ladders, and the archive is the .bsp alone.
