Description
A knife arena rather than a hostage map, despite the cs_ prefix: the frames show no buildings at all, only a deep pit walled in dark layered rock. Narrow stone catwalks cross the pit at two levels, meeting at a central block and stepping down towards the floor, and the floor itself is a flat green surface that reads as stagnant water. The only opening is an octagonal hole in the ceiling far above, through which a patch of pale sky drops one shaft of light onto the rock; everything else is lit dimly and tinted green from below. One frame follows a narrow corridor of mossy stone leading away from the pit.
The map measures 2176 × 2816 × 2368 units, so it is small in plan and unusually tall, with almost all of that height taken by the shaft above the bridges. The geometry is minimal: 842 faces on 6 textures, where de_dust2 has 5,383 faces on 44. Both sides get 16 spawn points, so 32 players can start a round. There are no hostages, no rescue zones and no bomb sites; buy zones are set to auto and land at the spawns. Of the 55 entities only two matter in play: a water volume and an equipment entity that hands out what players start with. There is no sky texture, since the pit is sealed. Besides the .bsp the archive carries one more file from the maps folder.
