Description
The assault warehouse rebuilt as a whole city block. One frame stands in an office lobby with cinderblock walls, a black and white checkerboard floor, a glowing ceiling panel and a wooden elevator door with a sign over it. Deeper inside there are bare halls of pale sandstone block, glazed slits set low in the walls and grey steel double doors. Outside the camera comes into a yard of brick and concrete buildings with shipping containers along one wall, a jeep parked by a loading gate and a skyline of glass towers behind, then into an underground car park beneath a housing block, where two cars stand in the gloom behind a hazard-striped corner. The sky over the city is grey and overcast.
The map measures 7456 × 7584 × 2676 units, well beyond the 4000 × 4288 × 1216 of the original cs_assault. Its geometry comes to 9,038 faces on 218 textures, none of them packed into the .bsp, against 3,206 faces and 182 textures in the stock map. The counter-terrorists get 30 spawn points and the terrorists 10, so up to 40 players can start a round. Four hostages are placed and there are no marked rescue zones, which leaves the counter-terrorist spawn as the delivery point. Buy zones are set to auto, so the engine puts them at the spawns as well. Among the parts a player can touch are 54 breakable objects, 18 ladders, 16 decorative see-through brushes and 3 doors. The sky is the city1 set and there is no water. Alongside the map the archive installs one more .wad file.
