Description
A stone temple in daylight, sandstone outside and marble within. The facade is a stepped mass of rough yellow blocks with a tall pointed portal cut through it and a flight of steps up to the entrance; behind it lies a sand courtyard with one tree, a crenellated perimeter wall, wooden crates, an open manhole fenced off with striped barriers, and a carved stone disc set into the wall. Inside, the halls are lined with pale veined marble and green columns, wall torches burn in carved sconces, geometric friezes run along a corridor of rough flagstones, and one chamber holds shallow turquoise pools around a carved obelisk.
The map is 4704 × 3456 × 1248 map units. Six spawns per side seat only twelve players, which is small for a hostage map of this footprint. Four hostages and one rescue zone set the objective, there are no bomb sites, and the map has no buy zones of its own, so the engine places buying at the spawns. Geometry comes to 7,358 faces built from just 56 textures, all embedded in the .bsp, next to 5,383 faces and 44 textures in de_dust2 — the map repeats a small material set over a lot of surface. Of the 489 entities most are decoration: 168 non-solid decorative brushes and 24 sprites for the flames, plus 65 ambient sound sources, four bodies of water and two ladders. The archive holds nothing but the .bsp.
