Description
An indoor close quarters range built inside a warehouse hall. The floor is filled edge to edge with a maze of chest high partitions: grey concrete panels with painted bands of blue or pale green, wooden fence sections, chain link and a few plank walls, all under exposed roof trusses, steel columns and hanging lamps. Two frames look down on the maze from above and show how regular the grid is, with office desks and chairs dropped into some of the cells and hostages in white shirts standing among them. Another frame steps outside into a loading yard, dark and lit by a single wall lamp, with a van, stacked crates and a chain link fence.
The map is 3840 × 2160 × 476 map units, and the ceiling height explains the whole layout: at 476 units there is no second storey anywhere, only the partition walls. Ten spawns per side seat 20 players. There are no bomb sites; four hostages and one rescue zone set the objective, and both teams have real buy zones. Weapons lie on the floor for anyone who wants to skip the buy menu: two TMPs, a MAC-10, a P90, an AUG, kevlar with helmet, an HE grenade, a smoke grenade and a flashbang. Geometry is heavy at 13,701 faces and 185 textures, against 5,383 faces and 44 textures in de_dust2, which is what a maze of separate walls costs. Forty nine breakable objects, 23 doors, nine volumes of water and three ladders make up the interactive part.
