A green and white airliner stands nose in at a terminal gate. One frame looks down along the wing at the apron below, where crates, wheeled baggage carts and a set of boarding stairs sit on grey concrete, with a dark city skyline of lit windows rising behind the terminal roof and illuminated signs on the facade. Another frame is inside the terminal: a black and white chequerboard floor, teal benches, tiled walls, shuttered shopfronts and a suspended ceiling with fluorescent panels. A third is a white service corridor with red patterned carpet, doors along one side and a hostage in yellow overalls standing at the end. The fourth is the cabin of the aircraft itself, rows of green seats between overhead lockers, blue and red carpet down the aisle, a galley at the rear.

The map is 2474 × 3248 × 1208 map units, so its footprint is tight while the terminal and the aircraft stack a fair amount of height into it. Eighteen spawns per side seat 36 players. There are no bomb sites; four hostages and two rescue zones set the objective, and both teams get real buy zones rather than the engine placing them at the spawns. The geometry is dense for this engine: 16,004 faces across 246 textures, where de_dust2 comes to 5,383 faces and 44 textures. Eleven breakable objects, seven doors, four pushable crates and three ladders are what the player actually handles, along with two ambient sound sources. The archive ships the cs_airbus.wad texture pack the map is built on.
