Description
A shooting arena rebuilt out of dust2 scenery. Everything is the familiar sandstone: dressed block walls with a patterned frieze, arched wooden doors, cobbled ramps and sand-covered courts, with green ammunition boxes stacked on a low platform and mountain slopes closing the view over the walls. One shot looks down a court toward a wall of arched doorways, another stands on a cobbled ramp between two towers, a third shows the raised platform with the crates and a painted sign on the wall behind it, and a fourth drops into a sunken passage of stone steps with rifles lying on the ground. Midday light and long shadows; the pieces are recognisable from the original map, but they are laid out as one compact arena rather than as its two halves.
The map measures 3680 × 3648 × 632 units, roughly two thirds of de_dust2 in each direction (4864 × 5600 × 960) and lower. Five spawns per side seat 10 players, and the map marks buy zones for both teams. There are no bomb sites, hostages or rescue zones, so nothing carries over from the original except the look. Ten M4A1s, ten AK-47s and two AWPs lie on the ground, which is where the loadout comes from. Geometry is 1,749 faces and 30 textures, four of them packed into the .bsp, well under the 5,383 faces of de_dust2. The sky is the desert set and there is no water. Ten non-solid brushes handle detailing, and one game_player_equip sets the starting kit.
