  What is a sprite?

  A sprite is a 2D graphic used in many games as HUDS (User Interface) and other
  effects.

  Can I change crosshairs on my normal guns (deagle/m4a1/ak47)?

  No! you cannot change these crosshairs, to change them you have to hack the HL
  code or bypass certain bits and this is classed as cheating.
